Agro-forestry-aquatic product exports hit 13.7 billion USD
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam earned nearly 14 billion USD from the export of agro-forestry and aquatic products in the first five months of this year, an increase of 9.5 percent.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development reported that in May alone, Vietnam’s export earnings from these products were estimated at USD 2.8 billion. This is the first time the rice sector has significantly increased its volume and value after a long period of decline. Vegetables and fruits continued their strong growth with the US, Japan, China, and the Republic of Korea among the top import markets in the first 5 months.
