Over the past ten months, agro-forestry-fishery exports to the Asian market increased 5.7% and exports to Africa rose 21.6%.
China, the US, and Japan remained the top three buyers of Vietnamese products.
The Ministry said it will direct local authorities to adjust their production plans and bolster exports, and at the same time will step up negotiations to remove technical barriers to expand markets for agro-forestry-fishery products.
The Ministry noted it will continue to handle market issues to facilitate the export of agricultural and aquatic products, especially to China, the US, the European Union, and the Eurasian Economic Union.
In addition, it will work to support brand and geographical indication protection for Vietnamese products in foreign countries.
