Addressing thousands of supporters in Ankara on Monday, Erdogan asked observers of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe to not criticize but know their place. He noted that Turkey held the most democratic elections that have ever been seen in any country in the West. Turkey will not take interest in observers’ reports, Erdogan said, adding that he may hold more referendums in the future on EU admission and restoring the death penalty in the country.
