The Arab League agreed on Sunday to form a ministerial committee consisting of Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Lebanon, Egypt, and the League’s Secretary-General to seek a comprehensive solution to the Syrian crisis.

The Arab League Council issued a resolution on Sunday to form an Arab ministerial contact group to communicate with Sudanese parties and influential outside countries, with the aim of resolving the conflict in Sudan. The group will include representatives from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and the Arab League, according to an Arab League statement.

The group will communicate with Sudanese parties and influential countries and international organizations to negotiate a complete and sustainable ceasefire in Sudan and address the causes of the crisis.
