(VOVworld) – An art exchange themed land border, sea, and islands of Vietnam will take place on March 1^st to confirm national sovereignty and raise people’s awareness of this issue.

The show will be held by the Southwest Steering Committee in collaboration with the commands of regional armed forces and local authorities to celebrate the 54^th anniversary of the border guards and the 24^th Whole People's Defence Festive Day. Art performances and talks with historians, naval soldiers, coast guards, and fishermen will call greater attention to the border forces.  Deputy Head of the Southwest Steering Committee Nguyen Phong Quang said: Our communication campaign should help civilians and armed forces reach consensus and enhance understanding of national borders, seas, and islands. I urge relevant agencies to promote in-depth communication activities on this theme.

The organizers will donate houses to disadvantaged soldiers and award outstanding groups and individuals who have greatly contributed to national defense.
