The show attended by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh was organized on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army (December 22) and 32 years of the All-People National Defense Festival.

It featured art performances, documentaries, and interviews with Vietnamese soldiers who spared no effort to help people as the pandemic raged.

“The close ties between soldiers and civilian have created internal strength, contributed to the past successful struggles for national independence and reunification and victories over hardships, particularly the COVID-19 pandemic," said Prime Minister Chinh.

"President Ho Chi Minh, a national hero and a prominent world cultural figure, once said that ‘without people, there would be no soldiers’ and that ‘the military and the people are like fish and water’. They are bound by patriotism, solidarity, trust, kindness, and the aspiration for a prosperous people, a wealthy country, and a democratic, just, and civilized society.”

The Prime Minister appealed for continued coordination between the military and the people in fighting COVID-19 and in socio-economic recovery.
