The organising committee and donors presented 30 gifts and scholarships to Hanoi students in difficult circumstances.

The program included a talk with representatives of Team Lee, a group of young people who use modern technology to restore the portraits of martyrs, and the group "Hanoi joins hands", who provide free shelters to homeless people in Hanoi.

Journalist Nguyen Manh Hung, Editor-in-Chief of Tuoi Tre Thu Do Newspaper and chief organizer of the program, said that Vu Lan is an occasion to show children’s gratitude to their parents.

“Our program will give meaningful gifts to heroic Vietnamese mothers, children in difficult circumstances, and families who have performed meritorious service,” he said.
