ASEAN Connectivity Coordinating Committee holds consultation with partners

(VOVWORLD) - The ASEAN Connectivity Coordinating Committee held an online consultation with dialogue partners and other partners on Wednesday. The event was chaired by Ambassador Tran Duc Binh, head of Vietnam’s delegation to ASEAN.

Partner countries praised implementation of the Master Plan on ASEAN Connectivity (MPAC) 2025 despite the problems caused by COVID-19.

Ambassadors of ASEAN’s partners, including the US, China, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Australia, Germany, Canada, New Zealand, and Norway, applauded ASEAN’s efforts to enhance connectivity within ASEAN and between ASEAN and its partners.

They vowed to continue to help ASEAN implement projects within MPAC 2025 to promote connectivity and boost regional economic recovery and development.

The participants also discussed measures to bolster MPAC 2025 amid the COVID-19 pandemic, noting that the strategic areas in this master plan closely match ASEAN’s post-COVID-19 recovery plan.
