(VOVWORLD) - Senior officials of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and New Zealand pledged to strengthen cooperation after ASEAN countries announced to reopen their borders.
The commitment was made at the 29th ASEAN-New Zealand Dialogue held online on April 7 as part of recovery efforts from the COVID-19 pandemic.
The participants acknowledged New Zealand’s active role in ASEAN-led mechanisms and New Zealand’s support for ASEAN’s central role in maintaining regional peace, security, and stability.
