(VOVworld) – A seminar on orientations for building the ASEAN Community beyond 2015 wrapped up in Hanoi on Wednesday.

The seminar was co-organized by The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the UN Development Program (UNDP). During the event, ASEAN Secretary General Le Luong Minh said 2014 is a decisive year for the success of building the ASEAN community. Minh said that it is necessary to enhance ASEAN’s institutions and mechanisms for development beyond 2015, including improving the capacity of the ASEAN Secretariat. The Secretary General appreciated Vietnam’s contributions to the three community pillars of politics and security, economics, and socio-cultural area. He expressed his hope that Vietnam along with ASEAN’s members will continue its efforts for the success of building the ASEAN Community.
