(VOVworld) – The ASEAN-China Cultural Exchange Year began in Beijing on Monday. In his address, Chinese Deputy Prime Minister Liu Yandong said that travel and cultural exchanges between ASEAN and China have increased considerably after 10 years of strategic partnership, contributing to friendship and mutual understanding. The Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Dang Thi Bich Lien said that Vietnam considered the event to be an opportunity to promote its culture and increase mutual understanding between the two sides: “Vietnam has been contributing significantly to all activities with both ASEAN and China. This year, Vietnam will take part in many cultural exchanges to promote its land and people.”
