(VOVworld) -  Within  the framework of the 48th ASEAN Economic Ministers’ Meeting (AEM 48) and related meetings, Economic Ministers from the ten ASEAN Member States and the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) of Japan met on Saturday, in Vientiane, Lao.

Laos Minister of Industry and Commerce Khemmany Pholsena chaired the meeting. Vietnam’s delegation led by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Cam Tu participated at the meeting.

The Ministers welcomed the conclusion of the negotiations on Trade in Services including the Financial and Telecommunication annexes and Movement of Natural Persons (MNP) Chapters as well as the investment negotiation under the ASEAN-Japan Comprehensive Economic Partnership (AJCEP) Agreement. The Ministers look forward to the implementation of the outcomes of the negotiations. The Ministers noted the on-going efforts to improve the implementation of the AJCEP Agreement.
