Deputy head of the Vietnam Sports Administration Tran Duc Phan made the statement at a ceremony in Hanoi on Thursday.   Secretary General of the Vietnam Olympic Committee Tran Van Manh said the tournament is important for Vietnamese athletes to show their strengths and spirit. He reiterated the Committee’s hope that the athletes will reap successes at the regional sport event and strive for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
