Asian countries welcome the new lunar year

(VOVworld) – Many Asian countries celebrated the New Year’s Eve with jubilant fireworks display. In Beijing and many cities in China, the festive atmosphere prevails with various art performances. In Hongkong, China, the celebration featured a spectacular International night parade, fireworks, and flower markets.

With more than 70% of its population being Chinese, the Lunar New Year holiday is a special cultural activity in Singapore. About 15,000 local residents and foreigners gathered at Chinatown because this is the only place in Singapore where people can enjoy fireworks display and set off firecrackers at the New Year’s Eve.

In some countries which have a large number of Asian people live such as the US, Canada, France, and Germany, the Lunar New Year holiday were also held cheerfully featuring Asian traditions.
