(VOVworld) - 100 people were injured Tuesday in Nepal’s historic Janakpur town as Madhesi protestors clashed with security personnel.

Madhesis stoned the police station and the security force responded with clubs and tear gas. Madhesis, largely of Indian origin, are protesting the new Constitution and demanding more representation. They are also protesting the division of their ancestral homeland into a seven-province structure and have organized a blockade of key border trade points with India.
