(VOVWORLD) - Australian Foreign Minister Marise Payne said Monday that the introduction of the new security mechanism AUKUS brought Australia-UK-US cooperation to a new height, while ensuring security and stability in the region.
Payne said AUKUS will contribute to shaping Australia's regional policy and will complement Australia's partnership network with ASEAN, the Quad, and other Indo-Pacific coalitions.
Australia, the UK, and the US are committed to strengthening ties with ASEAN and deepening cooperation with partners in Europe, including the EU’s Indo-Pacific strategy, she said.
