Australia will spend about 908 million USD in Official Development Assistance (ODA) to the Pacific region. ODA for Vietnam will increase from 51 million to 60 million USD, which shows Australia's intention to strengthen its relations with Vietnam.

Domestically, the budget focuses on helping families cope with inflation and investing more in environmental protection, renewable energy, and education.

In the next four years, the Australian government will spend more than 5.7 billion USD in order to deliver cheaper child care, greater parental leave entitlements, more affordable housing, and environmental improvement projects. It also plans to expand the enrollment capacity of public universities and invest in vocational schools.
