(VOVworld) – The Government has issued a decree on support for social beneficiaries as proposed by the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.

According to the decree, the standard level of monthly allowance for social beneficiaries will be raised from 9 USD to 14 USD a person. This will be the basis to define the level of social allowance and funding at social protection centers in the future. The decree came into force on January 1^st, 2014. Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Pham Thi Hai Chuyen said: “The government sets aside 350 million USD to support 2.6 million social beneficiaries every year. The higher level of allowance is aimed at providing them with greater care.”
