Shelling continues at the railway hub of Debaltsevo where thousands of Ukrainian troops are reported to be encircled by separatists.

The Ukrainian army said Sunday that they were attacked 60 times in a couple of hours since a new truce became effective.

A spokesperson for the Ukrainian troops Anatoly Stelmach accused the separatists of firing Grad rockets on the government military bases in Debaltsevo.

In reply, a spokesperson for the separatists forces said Kiev’s soldiers attacked their entrenched fortifications in an effort to break through the blockade in Debaltsevo.

The same day, a representative of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe said separatist forces in eastern Ukraine didn’t allow its observers to access Debaltsevo town.
