He said that he will not seek to get a Brexit extension despite the parliament having approved a bill initiated by opposition parties to force him to prolong the Brexit deadline.

Addressing the parliament on Wednesday after the sessions resumed, Johnson  declined when parliamentarians forced him to request a Brexit extension for the 19 October deadline.

Johnson criticized opposition parties calling for a vote of confidence  as pressure mounts for him to resign.
