(VOVworld) – The Buddhist Shangha of Bac Lieu province recently celebrated this year’s Vu Lan festival - a festival in which children pay tribute to their parents.

Religious dignitaries made speeches about the great love of parents for their children and asked Buddhist followers to respect and look after their parents. On this occasion, pagodas and Buddhist followers also honored war martyrs who sacrificed themselves for national independence.
