(VOVworld) - Hur Nam-sik, the mayor of the Republic of Korea’s Busan City has received a friendship medal, the highest award of the Vietnamese state, for his contributions to strengthening ties between Ho Chi Minh City and Busan City. Vietnamese ambassador to RoK Pham Huu Chi, on behalf of the President, presented the medal on Tuesday and hailed Hur’s efforts since he was elected Busan’s mayor in 2004 to promote economic and cultural ties between the 2 cities and assist Vietnamese people living in Korea.
