(VOVworld) - The General Statistics Office of Viet Nam (GSO) and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) will launch a new set of indices to evaluate business development by the end of this year.

The indices,  which will be based on revenues, profits, contributions to the State budget, innovation, and added values, will be used a reference for business support until 2020.

VCCI Deputy Secretary General Nguyen Quang Vinh said: “We base on the existing policies and statistics and new standards to measure the operational efficiency of Vietnamese companies. The provincial competitive index (PCI) and this business development index will work well together in assessing Vietnam’s business environment.”
