Visitors can feel the excitement while walking along the 1-km market at the center of the city with its hundreds of stalls, trees, and flowers. Pham Ky, a local resident, said: "People from the mountain districts to the city center are very happy. The Lao Cai flower market has been held for many years but this year’s is exceptionally vibrant. Flowers come here from many provinces and cities across the country."
