Cairo photo exhibit highlights Vietnamese culture

(VOVworld) – The culture of Vietnam’s different regions is on display at a photo exhibit in Cairo, Egypt, which opened Sunday, co-sponsored by the Vietnamese Embassy and Egypt’s Ministry of Culture. Particularly impressive are the photos by Yusef Mazhar, a member of Egypt’s Council on Foreign Relations, taken during his first trip to Vietnam.

Vietnamese Ambassador Do Hoang Long said: “So far this year, Vietnam’s landscapes, people, and culture have been introduced to Egyptians through this photo exhibit and book corners set up in public libraries in Cairo and Port Said. I believe this kind of cultural diplomacy enhances mutual understanding between the two peoples, creating a foundation for closer ties in politics, diplomacy, and economics.”

Vietnamese water puppet shows and other cultural events will occur in May in El Gouna in southern Egypt.
