(VOVworld) - The Thua Thien Hue provincial Youth Union and Association of war veterans opened its camp festival entitled “Pride of Dien Bien Phu Victory” on Saturday at the Chin Ham or Nine Bunkers historical relic site in Hue City’s An Tay district.

The two-day event attracted the participation of more than 1000 people where they would join reenactments of battle fighting and the exciting atmosphere of the Dien Bien Phu Victory. Nguyen Chi Quang, Thua Thien Hue provincial Youth Union Secretary, said: "This event is a great opportunity for young people across the province to meet and recall the historic moments of the Dien Bien Phu victory as well as the great sacrifices made by Vietnamese soldiers. On this occasion, we started the construction of two houses for the local border soldiers and youth officials in difficulties."
