Dinh The Huynh, head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communication and Education and deputy head of the sub-committee drafting the documents of the upcoming 12th National Party Congress, made the statement at a working session with Can Tho’s Party Standing Committee on Friday.

The meeting reviewed Can Tho’s socio-economic, cultural, and national defense performance, and Party building from 2010 to 2015.

Addressing the working session, Politburo member Huynh asked Can Tho to continue its achievements of the past few years, fulfill its socio-economic development tasks in the remainder of the current tenure, and turn Can Tho into a modern, developed city. Can Tho was encouraged to improve its administrative reforms and create a favorable environment for investment attraction, economic restructuring in line with its growth model, developing qualified human resources, and agriculture.
