(VOVworld) – The Supreme People's Procuracy of Vietnam held a ceremony in Hanoi on Thursday to mark the sector’s 55th founding anniversary and its National Patriotic Emulation Congress.

Addressing the meeting, President Truong Tan Sang said the Congress offers a venue for the sector to review what had and has been done so far and for the staff to meet and share experience.

President Sang asked the procuracy sector to strictly implement the 2013 Constitution, Party resolutions on judicial reform strategy, public prosecution, and oversight of judicial activities.

He particularly called on the sector to improve the professional capacity and morality of its personnel and prosecutors and to show more courage in defending justice and the legitimate rights of the people, the Party, and the state.
