Celebrations of Vietnam’s National Day held overseas

(VOVworld) – The Vietnamese Embassy in Belgium and Luxembourg held celebrations to mark the 70th anniversary of Vietnam’s August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2).

Speaking at a ceremony on Sunday in Brussels, Vietnamese Ambassador to Belgium and Luxembourg Vuong Thua Phong praised contributions by overseas Vietnamese to their host country and to the cause of Vietnam’s construction and defense. He added that the overseas Vietnamese backed Vietnam in the East Sea dispute.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Mozambique held a ceremony to mark Vietnam’s National Day. On this occasion, the Vietnamese Embassy in Mozambique organized a photo and document exhibition featuring 40 years of bilateral diplomatic ties and the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry’s 70th founding anniversary.

The Vietnamese community in China’s Macau also held a meeting to celebrate the event. Vietnam’s Deputy Consul General in Macau and Hong Kong Vu Chi Mai said she hopes that the Vietnamese community in Macau will promote Vietnam’s beautiful image to the world, tightening the friendship between Vietnam and China.

Meanwhile, the Vietnamese Consulate in Mumbai held a photo exhibit sketching Vietnam’s historical milestones and its achievements in economics, society, defense, and diplomacy over the past 70 years.
