Ho Chi Minh chose Tan Trao as the headquarters of Vietnam’s revolution, where many important events occurred, including the National People’s Congress that launched the August General Uprising of 1945, and the establishment of the National Committee for Liberation chaired by Ho Chi Minh.

Tuyen Quang is home to Tan Trao Special National Historical Relic site, where important revolutionary relics are kept. The province is striving to become a leading center of tourism, culture, and history, and an important destination for sightseeing and research.
