(VOVworld) – Cham ethnic minority people in the southern province of Binh Thuan have begun the one-month Ramuwan festival, which is the most important festival of the Cham Islam.

Ramuwan festival is a chance for the living to worship their ancestors and pray for peace, happiness and bumper crops. Visiting the ancestors’ graves is an essential activity to begin the festival. All families brought their offerings to the graves of the ancestors on Sunday’s early morning. This year, the Cham Islam people in Binh Thuan celebrate the Ramuwan festival with the participation of tourists and researchers, who want to explore their unique cultural features. Binh Thuan provincial authorities have visited pagodas to congratulate the religious dignitaries and Cham people and organized cultural activities during the festival.
