The National Fund for Vietnamese Children and the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs is providing free meals to more than 4,000 children in quarantine areas.

Nguyen Thi Nga, Deputy Director of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs’ Children Department, said, "We have focused on children infected with COVID-19 and those categorized as F1 cases. Due to the pandemic, localities should actively support children, make sure they have sufficient food and nutrition, and attend to their psychological issues."

The Department asked provinces and cities to promote communications on child abuse prevention, child safety and injury prevention, protecting children online, the National Child Protection Hotline at 111, and strengthening COVID-19 prevention measures.

Ms. Nga said that the Department will hold seminars to introduce laws, policies, information, and skills to the community to promote children's rights, in particular children who are affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
