China does not have any plan for organizing a China- Japan summit on the side-line of the upcoming 9th Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM 9). Speaking at a regular press conference on Monday, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hong Lei said that Japan should exert necessary effort to resolve the Diaoyu island dispote, removing barriers in bilateral relationship. Hong Lei said that from November 4-6, Prime Minister Wen Jiabao will attend ASEM 9 in Vientiane and pay an officially visit to Laos. Wen Jiabao will present China’s opinion on the world’s economy and policies in Asia-Europe cooperation and discuss with other countries’ leaders about regional and international issues.
