At a meeting with Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao in Guangxi, China, on Monday Nguyen Thien Nhan, president of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and head of the Vietnamese delegation attending the second China-Vietnam Youth Festival, said youth cooperation and exchanges between Vietnam and China is a bridge linking the two countries. Li noted that the Vietnam-China Youth Festival is an important event initiated by the two countries’ leaders to boost friendship between the two countries’ young people.

In the framework of the Vietnam-China Youth festival, Vietnamese youth laid a wreath and visited the relic site in Lieuzhou city where Ho Chi Minh lived. The Vietnamese met with leaders of Lieuzhou city, participated in an exchange with Chinese youth at Guangxi Science and Technology University, and presented gifts to some Chinese workers’ families.

The same day, the young Vietnamese, together with young Chinese, drew a picture titled “Youth drawing future together”. The picture was drawn on a 63-meter-long roll of paper symbolizing 63 years of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and China.
