Chinese Party, State leader concludes state visit to Vietnam

(VOVWORLD) - Chinese Party General Secretary and President Xi Jinping left Hanoi on Wednesday afternoon, successfully concluding a state visit to Vietnam at the invitation of Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and President Vo Van Thuong.

During the visit, Chinese Party leader and President Xi laid a wreath and paid homage at the Mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh; held talks with Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong and President Vo Van Thuong; and met with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue.

Both sides issued a joint statement on continuing to deepen and elevate the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, and building a Vietnam-China community of a shared future, which holds strategic significance.
