Coast guards bear heavy but glorious responsibility: PM
(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc had a working session with the Vietnam Coast Guard (VCG) High Command in Hanoi on Thursday, in which he stressed that their responsibility is very heavy but also very glorious.

The Prime Minister expressed understanding of their hardships, asking the Coast Guard to keep steadfast and to weather every difficulty so as to fulfill all the assigned tasks. Pointing out that the situation at sea remains complex, the Prime Minister requested the VCG to focus on performing well its function as the State’s specialised force for enforcing law at sea, joining relevant forces in fighting crimes, and staying ready to help with natural disasters and search and rescue at sea.
