(VOVworld) – President of the Republic of Colombia’s President Juan Manuel Santos has said Colombia considers Vietnam a key partner in Asia and Southeast Asia. At a reception for Vietnamese Ambassador to Colombia Ngo Tien Dung who has submitted President Truong Tan Sang’s credential letter, President Santos expressed his admiration to Vietnamese people about their courage diligence in the national independent struggle and renewal process. He praised Vietnam’s experiences in developing socialist – oriented market economy, especially the way how Vietnam has done to become the world’s leading coffee exporter. President Santos expressed his wish to develop multi-faceted cooperation with Vietnam. In reply, Ambassador Ngo Tien Dung said the Vietnamese government and people speak highly of the increasing position of Colombia in the region and the world. Dung noted that Vietnam wants to further enhance relations with Colombia in all fields for the benefits of the two peoples. Ambassador Dung pledged to do his best to boost the bilateral friendship relations and cooperation, particularly when both will cerebrate the 35th founding anniversary of the diplomatic ties this year.
