Compulsory quarantine to be reduced to 7 days for fully vaccinated entrants at Van Don Airport

(VOVWORLD) - All arrivals at Quang Ninh province’s Van Don International Airport will undergo piloted new COVID-19 quarantine regulations from July 1, according to the Ministry of Health’s online meeting on Friday.

The compulsory concentrated COVID-19 quarantine period will be reduced to 7 days for those fully vaccinated and those who have recovered from COVID within 12 months from the time of discharge from the hospital. It is also required to have negative PCR result for SARS-CoV2 on the 1st and the 6th day and a positive anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibody test.

Centralized quarantine is followed by home isolation period, which lasts 7 days. Entrants have to keep checking their health for another 14 days.

Arrivals who have not been fully vaccinated will undergo 14 days of centralized quarantine, followed by 14 days of self health checks.

Diplomats and high-ranking public officials listed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will undergo home quarantine for 14 days.

The new regulation includes quarantine supervision via apps. Each entrant will be provided with a sim card or a smart bracelet integrated with VHD or Bluezone.
