Con Son-Kiep Bac Autumn Festival 2017 to open late September
(VOVWORLD) - Con Son-Kiep Bac Autumn Festival 2017 will take place later this month at Con Son-Kiep Bac relic site in Chi Linh town of northern Hai Duong province.

The festival is held to commemorate the 717th death anniversary of national hero Tran Quoc Tuan and 575th death anniversary of national hero and world cultural figure Nguyen Trai. It also honors great contribution by Truc Lam zen to religious unity and national defense. During the 10-day festival starting on September 29, there will be a seal opening ceremony, a prayer for peace, a procession and a lantern festival. Other cultural activities like boat races, water puppetry and going into trance performance will also be held.
Con Son-Kiep Bac Festival was recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage in 2013. The festival attracts tens of thousands of visitors every year.
