Pham Minh Chinh, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Organization Commission, called for efforts to attract talented overseas Vietnamese to contribute to their homeland. He said: “We welcome and appreciate the wisdom, sentiment, and passion of experts, scientists, and Overseas Vietnamese intellectuals, who are contributing the national development. Hopefully, the Connecting Vietnam Innovation Network will become a forum to gather scientists inside and outside Vietnam and to boost cooperation within the scientists’ community to improve the quality of scientific research and training in Vietnam.”

The innovation network initiative has lured the participation of more than 100 overseas Vietnamese scientists so far. The program will gather overseas Vietnamese and domestic scientists who will meet to exchange and share visions as well as strategies for scientific and technological development in the sectors that Vietnam needs to accelerate in the coming time.
