Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc attended the ground breaking ceremony of the 4.2 billion USD project invested by the BRG-Sumitomo joint venture. The highlight of the smart city will be the 108-floor financial tower, which investors expect to become a financial hub of Vietnam and Southeast Asia. When it is completed in 2028, the smart city will have an environmentally-friendly transport system connected with Hanoi downtown. It will apply 5G, facial recognition, and blockchain technologies to improve services.

The project, which has received the close coordination of partners and the Japanese government, reiterates Vietnam’s commitment to implementing its plan on smart and sustainable city development  until 2025 and vision to 2030.
