Construction starts on aircraft component factory in Da Nang

(VOVWORLD) - A 20 million USD aircraft component factory will be built by Republic of Korea's KP Aero Industries Company at Da Nang Hi-Tech Park in the central city of Da Nang.

A ground-breaking ceremony was held on Tuesday for the KP Vina Aircraft Component factory, the second aerospace project in Da Nang after a previous investment by Vietnam UAC Company, Ltd.
Scheduled to go into operation this September, the factory is expected to create 500 new jobs. It will manufacture and assemble aircraft components, including auxiliary engine doors, wing boxes, gliders, and left-wing support systems for the Boeing 787 and Boeing 737 Max.
The project’s investor, KP Aero Industries, Co. Ltd, is a partner to leading players in aviation like Boeing, Airbus, and Korean Air. The company’s representative said they decided to invest in Da Nang after receiving enthusiastic support from the city’s leaders.
