(VOVworld) – The Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environment held a consultative conference on the draft Law on Hydro-meteorology and enforcement guidance documents. The draft law was discussed at the NA Standing Committee’s 38^th session and verified by the NA’s Committee for Science, Technology, and Environment. It’s scheduled to be submitted to the NA for approval this year.

Hydro-meteorological staff maintain observation equipment

The draft law on Hydro-meteorology and enforcement guidance documents must match with regulations on national defense, security, natural calamity prevention, climate change response and adaptation, and other social-economic activities.

The delegates discussed the protection of technical barriers for hydro-meteorological observation stations, weather forecast activities by organizations and individuals, the communications of hydro-meteorological information, Vietnam’s network of climate change observation, and the involvement of individuals and organizations in providing hydro-meteorological statistics and state management of the sector.
