Court sector urged to continue judicial reform
(VOVworld) - President Truong Tan Sang has said he believes the court sector will keep the reform of the judicial system in line with the newly-adopted Constitution and the Party’s Resolutions.
At a working session with the Supreme People’s Court in Hanoi on Monday, President Sang hailed its efforts this year and asked for a review of the implementation of the Party’s Resolutions and State laws. He said: “Economic and corruption cases must be strictly dealt with. Deterrence is essential to promote moral education. Inspectors must fulfill their duties toward the people.”
President Sang said that as implementation of the newly revised constitution begins next year, the court sector should continue to fine tune the legal system to contribute to the goal of building a socialist state governed by law. The sector was also required to improve its personnel training and expand international cooperation to serve judicial reform and national development.
