Covid-19 deaths surge in Europe, leaving other affected regions far behind
(VOVWORLD) - As of Tuesday, more than 16,500 deaths and more than 378,000 infection cases of Covid-19 had been reported in 195 countries and territories.
In Italy, the deadly virus killed more than 6,000 people and infected nearly 64,000. Italy has surpassed China in the number of deaths of Covid-19.
High death tolls of the new coronavirus were also reported in Spain and France.
In the US, more than 43,000 people have been infected and over 550 people were killed.
China has confirmed 4 new cases, one of them from Wuhan, which had not reported a new infection in five days.
