(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam recorded 12,663 new infections of COVID-19 on Sunday, bringing the national tally to 435,132.
Of the latest cases, Binh Duong reported the highest number, 5,414, followed by HCM city, 4,957, and Long An, 533.
The same day, additional 8,813 patients were declared free from COVID-19 and 334 more coronavirus-related deaths were confirmed.
HCM city remains the largest hotspot of COVID-19 in Vietnam with more than 209,000 infections recorded since late April.
