COVID-19 vaccine fund receives nearly 212 million USD in cash donations
(VOVWORLD) - The national COVID-19 vaccine fund has received donations totalling nearly 212 million USD from organisations and individuals, according to the fund's management board.
Vietnam needs 150 million doses of vaccine to vaccinate 75% of its population this year. The cost will be about 1.1 billion USD.
Minister of Finance Ho Duc Phoc said that the Ministry will publish the amount of donations every hour and will report all spending from the fund.
The fund will be released to the Ministry of Health to buy vaccines.
