(VOVWORLD) -In 24 hours until 4pm on Wednesday, Vietnam recorded 16,135 new COVID-19 cases, of which 69 were imported and 16,066 were recorded domestically in 60 provinces and cities.
The three localities with the highest number of cases are Hanoi (2,948), Khanh Hoa (772), and Binh Dinh (702). Vietnam has to date recorded a total of 1,958,719 cases of COVID-19.
On Wednesday, 38,943 more patients recovered from COVID-19, raising the total number of recoveries to 1,635,899. In the past 24 hours, there have been 177 more deaths from COVID-19.
By Wednesday, Vietnam has administered over 163.3 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine. The coverage rate of at least 1 dose of vaccine is 100%, the rate of 2 doses is 92.8% and the rate of 3 doses is 11.5% of the population aged 18 years and over.
