COVID-19: Vietnam reports 18 new cases, total tally rises to 929

(VOVWORLD) - The National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control said that by 6pm Friday Vietnam recorded 18 more new cases of COVID-19: 17 are linked to the Da Nang outbreak and 1 case who  illegally entered Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City and are being quarantined.

Vietnam has to date reported a total of 929 cases of COVID-19, of whom 328 imported cases were immediately isolated. The number of new cases related to Da Nang outbreak since July 25 has risen to 461.

On Friday, 12 more patients were announced cured, taking the total number of cured patients to 437, accounting for 47% of the total tally of infections. There have been 21 deaths related to COVID-19.
