COVID-19: Vietnam reports 9,580 cases in 24 hours

(VOVWORLD) - From 6pm on Saturday to 6:30pm on Sunday, the National System for COVID-19 Case Management recorded 9,580 new cases, 136 cases lower than the previous day, the Ministry of Health said.

Of the new cases, 6 were imported and 9,574 were locally-transmitted.

On Sunday, Ho Chi Minh City confirmed most cases: 4,516, Binh Duong had 2,358 cases. Hanoi reported 25 cases.

On the same day, Vietnam had 5,519 patients announced to be cured.

5 of the 62 provinces and cities have not recorded new cases for 14 days: Quang Ninh, Bac Kan, Tuyen Quang, Lai Chau, and Hoa Binh.

Since the outset of the pandemic, Vietnam reported a total of 275,044 COVID-19 cases.
